First Presbyterian is a traditional worshiping community with a small-town spirit. We're welcoming, informal, service-minded, and committed to being a place where people of all ages, backgrounds, beliefs, and traditions — or no religious tradition at all — can find a place to belong.

And yes, we're especially excited to welcome families and kids.

Come as you are. Seriously.

You'll see everything from jeans to dresses and suits on Sunday morning. There isn't a dress code, and nobody is keeping score.

Just come in whatever makes you comfortable.

Getting here

Enter the church parking lot from either Dustman Road or Orchard View Road. There's one main parking lot.

For your first visit, come through Door #1. The lobby and sanctuary are right inside.

We have handicap parking, no stairs, wheelchair access, and handicap-accessible bathrooms.

When you walk in

You'll find most people hanging out in the main lobby before worship.

You'll see friendly faces, but there's no pressure and no formal check-in process.

Want to introduce yourself? Grab a “Hi, My Name Is” sticker — because we really do want to meet you!

And if you'd rather quietly find a seat and take everything in first, that's completely fine, too.

We'll let you set the pace.

When worship is about to begin, simply choose a pew and make yourself comfortable.

You'll find bulletins in the lobby that walk you through the service and provide information about what's happening at First Presbyterian. If you have questions, they're a great place to start.

What Is Worship Like?

Our Sunday service is traditional, welcoming, and grounded in scripture, while still connecting faith to everyday life.

A typical service lasts about an hour to an hour and a half and includes:

• Scripture

• Traditional hymns

• Prayer

• A Bible-focused sermon

• Congregational singing

• Time for reflection and worship

Our sermons are led primarily by Pastor Terry Epling, with occasional guest appearances by Pastor Sandy Garcia.

The message usually starts with scripture and then asks:

What does this mean for our lives today?

It's traditional worship — but we're not afraid to connect ancient words with very real, modern life.

What About Kids?

Kids are welcome here. Period.

We don't expect children to sit perfectly still or behave like tiny adults.

There are busy bags just outside the sanctuary for kids to grab before worship.

Childcare and nursery care are also available during worship. Just let the door greeter know when you arrive, and we'll help you find your way.

Whether your family has been in church forever or you're walking through the doors for the first time, we're glad you're here.

What About Teens?

From Labor Day through Memorial Day, our youth group meets Sundays at 9:30 AM before worship for middle and high school students.

Youth have their own curriculum and time together to learn, ask questions, build relationships, and grow in faith.

What About Adults?

There's a 9:30 AM Sunday morning Bible study before worship, led by Andy Antrim.

Come ready to learn, discuss, question, or simply listen.

Do I Have to Be Presbyterian?

Nope.

You don't have to be Presbyterian.

You don't have to be a member.

You don't have to know the Bible.

You don't have to have your beliefs figured out.

You don't even have to know what you believe.

Bring the questions.
Bring the skepticism.
Bring the curiosity.

We welcome people from all denominations — and people with no denomination at all.

What About Communion?

We celebrate communion on the first Sunday of each month.

The bread and wine/juice are served right in your pew, so you don't need to come forward.

And if you don't want to participate, that's completely okay. There's no pressure to take communion.

What About Music?

We're keeping the traditional hymns you know while bringing some fresh energy to them.

Our new music director plays piano and is bringing a fresh vibe to our traditional worship.

The congregation sings together, with a choir participating on special occasions.

What Happens After Worship?

Stick around for a while!

There's coffee and conversation in the lobby, and it's a great opportunity to meet people and get to know the congregation.

Some folks hang around and fellowship. Others need to get home.

Either way, you're welcome.
